IS THE BIA OF THE DELTA?
Incorporated
in November 1987, BIA of the Delta provides a comprehensive menu
of programs including powerful legislative advocacy, effective business
networking opportunities, moneysaving benefits, educational programs,
and up to date industry awareness.
Affiliation
with BIA of the Delta also included membership to the California
Building Industry Association (CBIA) and the National Association
of Home Builders (NAHB).
WHAT
LOCAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA DOES THE ASSOCIATION COVER?
BIA of the Delta
serves San Joaquin County, California including the incorporated
cities of Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Lathrop, Tracy, Escalon, Ripon,
Calaveras Counties and Angels Camp. The region is approximately
1,578,890 square miles, with a population of approximately 685,000.
WHO
ARE THE MEMBERS?
We represent
over 200 member firms vital to the building industry. Membership
is held in three major categories:
Builders/Developers:
single and multifamily home builders, custom or tract, light commercial
and industrial builders, planned community land developers.
Trade Contractors:
include any licensed specialty contractors, general contractors,
plumbers, electricians, HVAC, landscape contractors to name a few.
Associate
Members: individuals, firms or corporations generating their
livelihood through providing a trade or service to the construction industry including: financial institutions, mortgage and title companies, accountants, attorneys, design, sales & marketing professionals.
WHAT
IS THE CBIA?
Recognized as
our state legislative arm, the California
Building Industry Association represents over 6,000 member companies.
CBIA's experienced team of lobbyists in Sacramento work-year round
to advocate legislative reform and regulatory relief. CBIA publications
help you to stay informed and on top of industry trends while the
Monday Morning Report provides a weekly update on legislative
issues.
CBIA provides
technical and educational service throughput the year and sponsors
the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC)
attracting thousands from the 14 western states to San Francisco
for three days of comprehensive educational sessions and 400+ exhibits.
WHAT
IS NAHB?
Houses in Washington
DC, the National
Association of Home Builders is recognized as one of the nation's
largest and most influential trade associations. Members total over
200,000 throughout NAHB's network of 800 local and state chapters.
NAHB impacts legislation and regulation; provides access to valuable
industry news and trends; and offers legal assistance and educational
opportunities.
